We FINISHED our new coop today!

Looks really nice on the inside. Way to go! I can't wait to start mine

As a "non-construction person" (me) I was wondering what was the most difficult part of it all for you? And the easiest? I would love to try to build my own coop, too, if I could just figure it all out properly. Thanks!

Since we had never built anything before, we decided to buy a plan. I am SO glad we did. We bought The Garden Coop plan online. It gave us all the dimensions and the order for the construction process. Now, since we expanded it, things had to be adjusted some, but that wasn't too hard to do. It was expensive ($20), but it saved us from a lot of headache. Plus, I wanted a nice coop since we live in the city and our hens will be pets not livestock.

Nice. I like the idea of a permanent coop in that it can be bigger and the concrete pad is great but I also like the idea of being able to move it around the yard as needed or wanted. Decisions decisions decisions!

Their plan for a tractor looks really good too. (Just saying: If I can do it, you can do it. Seriously.)
