We got a super egg!

Hello there,

Today Cleópatra (Rodilan breed) layed an egg that is double size that she often lay... Why this?

She layed it later than she uses to, she "complained" a lot until it was done... I think she suffered a bit to lay it.

Does someone know how to avoid this big egg? I think it's dangerous if it happens egg biding... She is a big girl but still it's very big for her, isn't it?

Watch it to see if you get more. Yes egg binding can be a problem when she cannot pass some eggs. What this might be is a double yolker egg. Is she young? Old? I have heard that you can make a chicken lay a bigger egg by making her think that the day is more than the hours of light so why couldn't we reverse that by making her think that the day is shorter than the hours of light.
