We got an egg!

So I guess my new ducks are feeling much more comfortable because when I went to put them outside today there was an egg in their box. They still aren't in the coop at night because they aren't that comfortable yet and I need to expand it. I will take it that the egg means they are happy here! She hadn't started laying yet this year at her old house so this is her first egg of the year too! Eek, so exciting

I will take a pic in a bit. They have been here for just under a week and I was expecting it to take longer.

My kids are so amazed that we actually got a real egg. I don't think they believed me since we haven't gotten any yet.

That's a big egg! I'm used to my mallards laying "chicken-sized" eggs.

I know! I still get excited when I got out and there are eggs. And yep, that's a big egg!
