Thanks For all the help every one. I found our first eggs today. Actually like 9 + 1, 9 browns and 1 bluish/brown from the EE
There a little smaller than expected will the get bigger as the hens mature?

I have got to get rid of some of the Male RIR i got 5 out of the 7 chicks i raised.

Congratulations on your first eggs! That must be exciting for you. I believe you're right that the eggs will get bigger with time. (Mine are still a couple months out...)

no, i'm afraid you have defective hens! THey are no good! I will give them a good home, so you can order some other chicks and try again!
