Wow!!
What a friendly bunch of folks!! Thanks for the generous welcome. We've had our hens for just over a week now and they are prolific layers!
Our "Aracana" isn't laying blue eggs, so we think she might be of mixed parentage, but other than that, we've had no surprises. Mostly we're just so amazed at how easy they are.
We're moving the hens into our sheep pasture today. We've been told they should cohabitate nicely. They have a portable little hen house that is very secure that we'll be locking them up in each night.
For you fellow Oregonians, I'm in Colton, about 40 minutes SE of Portland.
