We got Sapphire Gems!

Super excited that we finally got our sapphire gems! I was devastated when they were all gone 10 days ago. They're sooooo tiny! I'm worrying about them because they're so small but they have food and water and heat so I need to just to go bed LOL! Just wanted to share my excitement ❤

Nothing screams spring like baby chicks, that for sure!! Congrats, they are adorable!

When I called our local TSC they had both breeds I wanted. Buff Orpingtons and Sapphire Gems. When I got there there was only 1 SG left. They sold the rest in the 40 minutes it took me to get there. I couldn't pass her up.

I added 10 Gems to my existing flock last August, and could'nt be happier ! Friendly birds, with beautiful plumage, and great layers to boot. You will enjoy them !

I know it has been a year but your babies are colored just like mine I got yesterday...as they grew did their colors vary much. Like the dark ones looked like this as an adult and the lighter ones turned out like this....or do they all look exactly them same....thank you

Their colors do vary! Two of them ended up being quite a bit darker than the other three, one of those two even more so. The other three are very similar in color and shading but I'm able to tell them apart from their combs or spots they have on their feathers. Let me see if I can find a picture. I have mostly videos of them lol
