We got too loud, so we took a sled to some new digs....

I have 5 very loud 18 week old roosters.

I also live in town. The failed plan was to move them 6 weeks ago.

But today they made the epic 800 ft journey from a plowed road to their hoop house on the hill.

Couldn’t find a sled. So a plastic tub it was.

50 degrees today,

I am amazed that they stayed in the tub and didn't jump right out as soon as you put them in.

They did at first. I was running around the yard after them.

I put the lid covering 1/2 the top to give them the impression they were in a box. They sat down When I put them if after that and made contented noises on the 15 minute car ride.

I threw some meal worms in when we arrived. The wheaten maran did jump out when I put them at the door way.
