Well, I love the ladders too! Me and DH just said WOW let's do THAT!!

The ladder is fine if you don't mind the poop all over it. I just like things cleaner than that. The rungs themselves are to small for a chicken to use for a roost. They will have to use the ladder beam, hence the poop all over everything else.

But again, that's just me and what I want to see.

I have tree branches and they poop all over them too. I keep a putty knife at the door to scrape them off, this morning it was 12 degrees or something stupid like that. Kinda wondering why they don't build highways out of frozen chicken poo. That crap is hard!!! (pun intended)

we love the ladders, so do the girls! we clean them but honestly it is fun to see them use it like a highway! We borrowed the idea from a friend who had them in their coop.

Very nice (and I love the ladder idea as well!) but.... are those electrical outlets right there where the chooks roost? I'd be worried about plugging anything in where the girls had access to it in case they pecked at the plugs and dislodge them or start a fire. They could also get faeces in there as well at that height.
