That's what I kind of figured, just to pick her mate. I wouldn't know which to pair her with, or the others for that matter. It seems that most of them are mixed colors, like cinnamon blueface (which is what this hen is) I believe I have some cinnamon-silver/slate/ivories, I have golden redreasts, idk, there are so many different mixes!! I believe someone told me my cinnamon hen is a cinnamon pearl, so that's another mixed one

Probably the only ones that are 'pure' are the df blueface and the df silvers....

So could I mix and match them? Like if I put this hen with that male, and don't like the result, could I swap them with a different one?

You sure can. LOL let me warn you they throw a hugh fit when you change them around. And you do have to watch for picking or scalping I have had a couple bad moves but for the most part they adjust after a few days of calling out to their old mate

awh that's great to hear one hatched but a bummer to hear it hatched in the incubator instead of under mama! I hope you're able to get some natural hatches soon those sound so fun!

I took the rest of the eggs away. It almost seems as if she has started laying again? There were 18 or 19 when I took the others away, and there were 12 in the nest. So that means the total eggs taken out of there was 22!!

No more babies have hatched yet, but if this little one can hold out for a few days, macnugget's coturnix are due between tomorrow and Thursday, then my A&M are due between Thursday and Saturday. So it will have some buddies!! Just hold on little cockroach!!

We have 3 babies now!!

I had another one hatch and die, and another that 'almost' hatched. It had pipped the shell but couldn't get out

I moved all the button eggs to the hatcher, since I can't tell how far along they are. If I would have only waited a few more days, mama button could have had 5 babies

Oh well, next time I'll be ready
