OK, I am not sure how to load pics onto here yet, so I'm linking to my flicker account.
Hope this works!

My plan had been to get 6 pullets. I ended up with 3 pullets and 2 roos! What is wrong with me???? However, I wanted to make sure to get them from the same breeder because I don't have 2 coops and couldn't keep them separate. The guy wanted us to buy 2 pairs of barred rocks (bantams), but I didn't want the two roos. He had a pair of Sussex and wasn't willing to split them up. So now, we have 2 roos. One of which thinks he's a LOT bigger than what he really is!!
For the most part I'm really pleased as these were two breeds on my short list of the ones I was interested in. AND I was really interested in getting a sussex but didn't think I'd find one. This was the only pair I saw in the sale area.
As for the show itself...Never again!! At least not a big show! It was awful for me. I hate crowds and it was VERY crowded. And of course the noise was quite impressive. (geese, roos, call ducks, turkeys!) About 20 minutes in I was ready to go home empty handed. Esp. after DH had just talked to a woman who told him that he wasn't going to have any luck finding barn yard birds there. They really only sell"Show birds" at shows like this. (at which point I went into the hall and nearly broke into tears)
After that I decided to walk around the show area (MUCH wider isles and fewer people) to get an idea of the types of birds I wanted. Then I took one last walk through the sales area and saw these guys.
Now they are home and we're all getting acquainted.
So begins my chicken adventure!
Hope this works!
