We have a new baby!

Wahoo! We have a gorgeous new bay filly! She arrived on Halloween--what a treat she is!

She is the first foal of my stallion A Rusty Zipper and she has his markings.

I am just amazed by her. Already she will suck on my fingers and rub against me. Her head is so tiny that when we put a suckling halter on her, she looked down and it fell right off!

Just call me happy!

She is a lovely filly. In the UK foals are born between April and June as the weather is better and the summer grass is good for the feeding mothers. This would be a very late foal over here and would cause problems. I had a foal arrive in November years ago after a stallion got to my mare - wow, that was hard work!!
