We have a PIP!!!!

I had my first pip of this hatch last night too. So far 4 have hatched today, one more has pipped, and there's one that hasn't pipped yet. One went from pip to hatched in about an hour or an hour and a half! I couldn't believe it hatched so quickly! Congrats on your precious babies!!

I had one hatch this afternoon, I went to the store, back within half an hour, and had 4 in the incubator. i have one pushing out at this moment. The other one zipped hours ago, but I haven’t seen any movement since. I’m waiting for the one to hatch so that the humidity shoots up and I can candle. Hoping for the best. Still waiting on the one to finish hatching, the humidity was up to 80 so I candled real quick. Seen no movement and heard no peeps. What would cause them to die after zipping? I’m not taking it out, gonna wait til tomorrow sometime, see if there are any changes

I ended up having to help the one. The membrane was drying on her. She was 75% out I just had to help with the last of it. I put baby oil, no coconut oil, on the one that’s zipped. Still no movement. I’m hoping the membrane didn’t dry out on it like it was on the other.

Ok, it got the better of me, so I peeled away a little of the shell, and yeah, she had died. Unable to finish zipping. But on the bright side I do have 6 gorgeous babies pics will be coming tomorrow

Here are my babies, 3 of them have splayed legs, but we are working on that.
This is Precious, she has splayed legs and has a hard time holding her head straight

And this one is Mystique

They had a little bit of a rough/slow start, but this chick mama is getting it under control. They will definitely be SPOILED

Yes they got hobbled earlier this afternoon. I’ve been working with Precious a little to help with balance, (she has none). But they are good so far!!!!!
