We have Eggs Again! Do You?

Thank you for the recipe!
I (Ret) cook by the seat of my pants, so I'm bad with recipes. Feel free to reach out for more info. The most important things are to 1) work all that flour in while kneading and 2) roll out the dough babies into smooth balls before shaping! Post pictures of yours (with a duck egg on top, of course!)

Awesome! Cant wait to try. When you say boil each side do you just use shallow water?
I fill a pot maybe halfway. The bagels will float, so you need enough water that they are not resting on the bottom.

It's a little later than usual, but as of this past weekend, our ducks started laying multiple eggs per day again! They are approaching their fourth birthday, and this was the longest break they have ever taken.

We celebrated by making bagels...

...and enjoying bacon, cheese AND THREE BIRD FARM EGG sandwiches!

Thank you, Girls!

Those bagels look amazing. My lazy loafers (who will be 2 years old on April 1st) are STILL on vacation. Two of them stopped laying in early December and then molted heavily. The third kept laying until mid-January and then went on break when she molted. I’ve stopped hoping/checking daily, and have also scaled back on their treats, thinking maybe they are filling up in those instead of eating their balanced duck food and maybe they don’t have the right nutrients to lay. I just want them to be healthy.

No eggs over here yet 😩 thanks for including the recipe. Those bagels (and sandwich) look delicious 😋
Today we had our first thee-egg day from our five girls (we've been having 2/day all week), so it's slowly ramping back up! Time to start thinking duck egg curry, shakshuka, finnan haddie, Oyakodon, and all our other favorite duck recipes!!!! ;-)
