I received a mistry bunch of chicks from dh's friend and there was opne who was a little smaller then the rest we figured that it hatched later then the rest.

now I am thinking that it is not the same breed as the rest of the bunch cause the markings are different.

but now that the bunch are 3X the size of him/her they are knocking him/her over. The bigger chicks think that the brooder is the autobahn ZOOM ZOOM squish goes the smaller chick

now for my questions....

I have a typical chick waterier in the brooder... but in the ICU there is no room and I only have one... I do however have a hamster water bottle... how much effort will it be to re-train this lil gal to drink from the hamster type water bottle?

What exactly is your "ICU room"? I'm hoping it's a dog crate...if so, you can get some of those cups that hang onto the wires on the door. That's what I use, and they take up no floor space, and are pretty much spill proof.

This little one sure appears to be big enough that it wouldn't be getting "run over" at this point...is it lethargic at all?

It takes them about 0.03 seconds to figure out a water bottle. "Oooo - shiny - let me peck it - oooo, water - good"

The water bottles will drip a bit while they use it - not usually a problem.

what I have for an ICU is an old chinchilla cage it does have the wires but it has a deep tray to stop the shavings from being kicked out.. i dont think she can reach the dish if it was hanging from the wires.

she looks big there cause that was a close up her hatch mates are 3X her size.

she is not lethargic but when you put her in with the rest of her hatch mates she sits and squats like she is bracing herself for the stampede but as soon as we moved her on her own she walked over to the feeder and started eating

Whatever the reason, it certainly sounds like she was being bullied, and probably prevented from eating as much as she wanted.

I'm going to agree with Dawn. My Lil'Bit was really having a time of it, trying to get her fair share of food and water. Once I started taking her aside every day for individual feedings, she caught up quickly. She's still the smallest, but manages to keep up.
I hope your girl does well.

*****SAD UPDATE****

she died during the night... I guess there was something wrong with her..

I had noticed that she was all puffed up last night before I went to bed.. it was like her feathers were all puffy like she was cold she was under the heat lamp too so I thought she just got a chill or something.. the chicks are about 9 -10 weeks old

I thought by this time they were pretty stable and would pull through
