Out of 24 eggs I now have 12 babies out! This is a staggered hatch so there are several more still in the process of hatching. The rest should

hatch out tomorrow.

Here are my little cuties so far:

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you.....did that broody hen take those eggs?

Yes, she is on them like a champ, I candled the eggs the next day and gave her the best 8 looking ones.

Congratulations! I'm also waiting on eggs to hatch...in lockdown right now....Friday is hatching day......Seramas are so tiny and cute! Remind me of butterflies......And they way the seem to "pose proudly"!

I'd love to see some pics of the tiny chicks!

How'd they travel? Were the air cells scrambled? If they were in any kind of good shape I'll bet you will get babies from your silkie. All of my juvenile birds from this past year came from broody Serama hens, they do such a wonderful job.

Let me know how your hatch goes. (Are you incubating the rest?) Did you have to discard the rest?

I will post pictures when they are all out (up to 8 now)! They are adorable. Serama chicks are my favorite.

Majority had some kind of separation, The eggs on the outside and the smaller ones had more, but this is just how Serama eggs travel. I gave another four to one of my game hens who was sitting on her clutch for a day and half. The rest I put in my incubator and will candle on day 14 to see how they are coming along.
