We just got a blue egg! ???

Now that makes me wonder, are green eggs more common in EE's than blue eggs???

I would think the answer would be yes. As the hatcheries mix the birds indescriminately and probably throw in production birds to keep the rate of lay up.

When breeding ameraucanas, to improve egg color. We try to only hatch the bluest eggs and use roosters that also hatched from blue eggs and continue that cycle for better results every year.

Wow I hope I get some pink eggs too. Now I have heard of purplish eggs. I wonder, how do you get those? I would think a blue egger and green egger?
