WE JUST GOT OUR FIRST CHICK! DAY 19

At around 2.45pm our broody quail hen hatched her first baby she was just as excited as I was lol.

I'm so childish excited lol. She is sitting tightly on the nest again so not sure how many more there are though she has made a few different movements and noises indicating that maybe a couple more hatched so just waiting for her to move so I can have a look but just fighting the temptation to intervene for a peak.

So inspiring hopefully the offspring hens will be broody too intone like the mom.

We had one survive from 3 hatches , 8 or 9 half incubated chicks that had died half way through and the rest cooked yolk
