It's been horrible, we haven't had rain in 4 months. We built a new pond and all the rain stopped ha ha.

Anyway, there's a 90 percent chance tomorrow and I'm excited. We have lost countless plants and trees. Our horses are out of hay, we're having to buy a lot of hay because the pasture has dried up.

Our grass is just about dead everywhere and everything is so dusty.

Just to have some relief for those of us in the NC drought would be a blessing.

Let it rain!!!!!!

I hope you get rain! Were suppose to get some to here in Alabama. I know what you mean about the drought, we have gotten very little rain all summer, leaves on trees have been turning brown and falling for along time now.

I'm so excited that they're saying rain!!!! They tricked us last week though because of that hurricane. They first said rain and then by the next day they said rain AT THE BEACH!

You know you need rain when your grass crunches.

Please oh please let it rain! I'm supposed to go to the beach this weekend, but if it rains the whole time, I wouldn't care!! We need it badly!!

I think Gov Easley has issued Federal Relief for hay farmers, it's horrible.

It looks like rain tomorrow here, too, and I sure hope so. We're in Northeast North Carolina just south of the VA state line. The horse's feet have never looked so bad. It's awful. Even the pine bedding in the chicken coops is flitting about in the electrostatic air. The pastures have all but dried up. Yucky.

It's supposed to be mostly cloudy here through Saturday, so I'm hoping for rain too, even though they aren't forcasting it... I'm hoping the weather people are just trying to be conservative!

At first our grass was crunchy, then it BROWN, and now in patches it's gone to dirt. Even though we didn't get water restrictions, we can't wate then whole 8 acres, so we've been watering the pool, the pets, the pasture, the potted plants, the garden, etc.....

the garden died, the potted plants died, the grass died, so NOW, the only thing we water are the livestock, pets and the pool...ha ha...

keeping the ole fingers crossed! Yeah last time they said we'd get rain - we didn't even get clouds...so tomorrow I'm really hoping!!!!

Don't use it all up! We need some here, too. Our trees are also losing leaves and dying. I'm really worried about fire season. It is so bad already.

They say the Lost Sea has become 1/3 it's normal self (underground lake). I saw it in '88 when we had the last drought, then saw it in '99 and was AMAZED at how big is when full. So the thought that it's smaller now than in '88 is scary.
