FEEDING CORN DOES NOT NOT NOT NOT MAKE AN ANIMAL HOT!!!!!!!!!

Diluting the feed ration with corn (or any grain) dilutes the protein in the feed and alters the amino acid:energy ratios. This change will affect the growth and composition of the growth of the birds.

The bottom line is that you should feed a high quality complete feed to provide appropriate nutrition for the birds to grow.

The Fish Meal has no taste effects for the meat. However some say that they can taste it in the eggs of layers.

Also any kind of feed stuff will make an animal hot in 90 degree weather. Digestion creates heat, which results in birds getting overheated. But it's not just for corn, it's for anything that they can digest. A lot of people will feed 12 hours through the night when it's cool and let them rest during the 12 hours of daylight. This keeps them cooler during the sunlight hours.

Corn is great for the winter has it gives them a little extra carbs to stay warmer.

Oh my gosh~!!! Everyone has such great information. I am so disappointed in myself that I should have consulted on here for that purpose. I am so excited about next year. We are definitely gonna try our hardest to make it work this coming year. Thanks to all that have posted with such great information.

I agree with that.I always thought alot of people confuse corn with the act of digesting, and that's where they thought the warmth was coming from.Wheat or anything that needed to be ground up by the crop would help keep them warm.
It's the act of digesting not what their digesting that makes them warmer. Will

Well good luck! I can't wait to hear the results...
