My hubby took my oldest son down to his friend's farm for a sleep over/camp out tonight, so it just left me and the other 3 (girl 11.5, boy 8, boy 5.5yrs) kids home tonight.
After we finished butchering and processing tomorrow night's chicken nuggets dinner, and feeding up all the animals, it was getting a bit late to cook anything, so we decided to go off to Mc Donald's for dinner.
We decided we'd 'party til we're purple' (from the Spongebob movie...) Anyway, the McDs near our house is fairly new and has the video game machines that are free at a few tables. It was already very late (9:30 - we ate a late lunch around 3...) so we got dinner and sat around eating and playing silly computer games. Then the kids all got an icecream sundae (love that $1 menu...) and we played a bit more silly games. We ended up saying over an hour just laughing and playing together.
What a simple, cheap, nice evening of fun out with my kids. I swear we should have been on a McDonald's commercial...
