We had lots of help and rented a Featherman plucker for $30. Best $30 ever spent.
We kept our scald water at 145-150 for about 20 sec per bird and the plucker did the rest. 3 birds at a time and after 20 secs or so, they were bald. Just one or 2 tail feather pins left to pull. Amazing!!!!

We used a 5 gallon bucket instead of a cone....put a hole in the bottom of it and it worked great too!!

We only had 18 birds left from our original 25, but we were done and ready for packing at 2 hours, in the pouring rain too I might add.
I wished I had taken pics, but way too messy to take my camera.

Now they are sitting and aging in our garage fridge....waiting for freezer camp.

Phew!!!! So glad that is done. [IMG][IMG]

    Ummm! When's dinner??
We'll be processing 12 birds this weekend. We'll skin them instead of plucking. I love your bucket idea! Thanks for sharing.
