we're quite sure speckles is a male because speckles is is half the size of our female who is older than speckles, but with the feathers is larger than her. her name is peppa and you can find a picture of her here:

yeah, that was what we were thinking...we may have to sell him because we arent allowed to have roosters in our town, but we'll have to see how loud he crows because we keep our silkies inside. I guess we can only wait.

Sorry, Speckles is definitely a rooster. The wattles and comb are just too large for a female. I hope he doesn't crow too much, or, if he does, you can find a happy home for him!
