We traded hatching duck eggs for day old barnyard mixed chicks. The farm thought these might be colored eggs layers. Please tell us what you think of breed and gender for these two little ones. The dark one is toffee, the light one is cappy, aged 4 weeks in all but 3 photos from their first week

Cute! Yeah, I'm guessing easter eggers too. And while they are awfully young to sex, the darker one seems to have some male characteristics already - thick legs, big brightening comb, splotchy coloration.
