Yesterday our sweet Twisty died. We knew she was not going to live as long as we wanted due to her twisted beak. We did our best to keep her healthy, grinding food and feeding her seperately, hand feeding, clipping her beak every couple of days, but Friday night she just seemed so weak. She never really could get the nutrition that the other chickens did. She was our favorite and followed us around everywhere. She would come into the house, jump on our lap and let us carry her like one of Paris Hiltons Chiuauas.
Her beak just got worse and worse as hse got older and there was no trimming it back to make it even, plus her tougue dried out a little where it hung out. We will miss dear Twisted Twisty.
