it’s been maybe a week and one of our hens is weak, found her at the bottom of the coop and outside the coop with other chickens pecking at her and then put her in isolation. She hasn’t laid an egg and her poop has been very green. She doesn’t eat or drink much. She won’t really stand or walk but she will if she really needs too. The other chickens seem fine. We let her out the other day and the other chickens immediately ran over to pick on her again with me standing there. I found poop in the coop with white specks all over as well. The other chickens including the rooster besides the Americanas we have had poopy butts but nothing major. Photos attached to help. Thank you for any tips or advice to see what could be going on!

How old is she? Does she act broody at all? Her greenish blue poops look a bit like broody poops? Can you separate her in a dog crate with her own food and water in the coop with the other birds? She may be sick or hurt if she is not broody. Feel of her crop early in the morning to see if her crop is emptying overnight. See if she can walk normally or if she is having trouble with a leg. Look for any wounds. Look her over for lice and mites on her skin especially under her belly. Has she been laying eggs recently? When a chicken is being attacked by flockmates, they are usually acting off or dying. I would mix some moist chicken feed with a lot of water, and offer some scrambled egg. Poultry NutriDrench 2 ml daily for a few days would give her some vitamins and electrolytes.

Welcome to the BYC community @Cnn94 :frow

Did you or any of your neighbours use rodenticide lately? The turqoise colour often shows after ingesting rat poison, but it also happens depending on the kind of vegetables they eat.

Soak the butts in warm epsom salt water and clean the poop off carefully. After drying them (towel and hair dryer), you could trim back some of the fluff so the droppings will not adhere any longer.

When did you last deworm your flock?
