Thank you all for the suggestions. She seems to be bouncing back in the past 24 hours or so-- she is out with her sisters as we speak enjoying a nice dust bath! Another thought I had--we have some potatoes growing in big buckets and I saw that one of my girls had gotten into one of the buckets and had been scratching around. I'm pretty sure potato foliage is poisonous--maybe she had gotten into some of that? (I have put screens over the buckets now!) At any rate, I am relieved that she seems better, but will continue to watch her closely. She didn't lay an egg today--does illness mess up the whole egg laying cycle? It seems like it would but I am not sure.
