I had two chicks that froze when I used the heat plate because it wasn't low enough to the ground to provide heat. Is your heatplate the lowest it can be?This morning i woke up to find a week chick who was staying under the heat plate and not coming out, she keeps on falling asleep and I don't know what to do.
Help please???

It is low and my other 2 are absolutely fine and she was yesterday and all previous days, they are 6 days old and she is 5
I'm so sorry. I lost one of my first 10 in a similar way last year.Sadly the weak chick started giving up and she passed away peacefully in my hands
We do our best but sometimes there's something wrong that we just can't see or fix.
