Good news - all the birds are alive and well. I could barely sleep last night so I went over as soon as I could get a car this morning, about an hour earlier than planned. I breathed a huge sigh of relief. I saw no evidence of anything but I will monitor. Fortification can't happen fast enough. Thanks for your support. I will help my friend prevent this in future. Let's hope the next two nights they stay safe until she's back.

What about the other people taking care of them too? None of them can go over? If the weasel doesn't get scared out by something it'll do damage tonight. They kill for sport.

I don't know the other folks so I don't have their contacts unfortunately. I think I might be the only other person that has chickens (and cares about chickens more than most!) and is familiar with dangers etc.

I am glad that nothing has happened to the chickens. Kill the weasel if you can find it again.
