I’ve never seen weasels in my yard although I’ve seen coyotes, hawks of all kinds, and raccoons. But I’ve read so many posts about weasel attacks that I’d like to know just how small of a space can they squeeze into. My run is 1/2” HC from roof to sill. I’ve got welded wire laced into the HC there and that extends out 18” so I’ve kept out the bigger predators.
Just worried about the mini predators.
Any info would be appreciated

Anything larger than 1/2-3/4" could allow a smaller weasel in.
OMG! I’m going to spend a lot of time checking the HC and welded wire connection at the sill. To be safe I’ll have to uproot the sod covering the welded wire and add a layer of HC over it. Well better safe than sorry.

Hey Massachusetts neighbor. Caught this character a couple years ago. Our coop is HW cloth complete. Windows, vents, run, apron.

The axillary run is not. So, if the attack comes during the day, I hope the chicks are quick enough to fly high.

Looks like it would love to take off a finger
