Weasel story from attack

Actually, I remember reading a story about a weasel trying to attack a basset hound while she was nursing her puppies. The dog kept trying to ward the weasel off and even the cat got in on it...they both fought the weasel's attack on the puppies and then the dog/cat's owner got home and the weasel tried to attack THEM too. They ended up shooting it or some such...but I have heard of them being just very determined. Out here we don't get them...but, I would not want to.

Thanks all who replied. I have called F&G and they are going to take it and test it. I just have to cut the tree to retrieve it. Chickens dont get rabies so we could only be exposed if I was to have gotten saliva off of the chicken.

F&G said it really wasnt that uncommon for them to be aggressive. But to be on the safe side they will test.
