anybody ever try glue boards with fresh chicken meat?

I really wouldn't. Glue boards catch just about everything that touches them, including lizards and the too-small-to-be-a-threat snakes that you want around to raid mouse nests and eat roaches, and they're not a humane way to kill anything. Whatever you catch struggles for hours and tears itself up before dying. There's also a risk of getting one stuck to any of your pets or livestock that can reach it.

What some people do is build a long, thin box with a weasel-sized opening in it, and put a snap trap in it, with bait in the other end.
