We have six girls about 7-8 months old and we are in central florida.
A couple of weeks ago we had some days of heavy rain and now the temp. is in the mid to high 90's. Most days they lay 4 to 5 eggs.
Today we only got 2.
My question is, does the weather affect their laying and what else can we expect this summer?

Hmm, that's an interesting question. I know stress affects egglaying, and it seems like that could include heat stress.

But I don't really know for sure. I'll wait here with you to see if someone else does...

Some hens will quit laying all together when it's really hot, then resume when it cools off.
