Weed Killer safety

We recently built a house so have no landscaping yet. When I let my girls out they rummage through the weeds. My husband sprayed the weeds last night and is convinced we only need to wait 24 hours till we let them out again. I know this is the case with dogs but is it the same for chickens? We live in 95-100 degree weather right now so it’s most definitely dry by now. He used 2-4D, RIFLE, and a grass safe type of round up. I don’t want to let them out too soon for safety but they also act like little savages if you don’t give them yard time.

I don’t spray where my animals are going to be. They will be ingesting that weed killer.
