Weed killer vs chickens

Will weed killer kill chickens? My husband sprayed our yard without me knowing and my hens have been eating the grass all day! Does this effect the eggs?? Help!

I am not sure about the eggs, but pesticides are toxic to chickens. I would watch your flock very carefully and wait until you have a hard rain before free ranging again. I hope your chickens will be okay!

The chemical he used was LV4000 2,4D weed killer

Only thing I could find was to give as much water as possible to dilute the chemical but that was for roundup I just seen your last post so now I don’t know

I have read conflicting stories. To clear up a previous post 2-4D is a herbicide not a pesticide. Lv4000 is a less potent formula then what commercial sprayer use. I would keep them off of it for a few days just to be safe.
