I threw a handful in the run. While I was watching they ignored it. When I retuned the next morning it was gone. They must have ate it.......

My covered run is a combination of pine shavings, cut grass, leaves and yard debris. And of course chicken poop. Not that you see any. Just created an uncovered run extension. I throw the cut grass in every time I cut. In the fall, the leaves will go here.The nibble on the grass, but mostly search it for bugs.
