Ok first let me take my licks for not posting in well over a year...biggest of apologies to Grannie Hatchett and all my peeps, no pun, you know how it gets with 50 chickens, 18 guineas, and 2 tom turkeys....so busy. Ergo my problem. Friend gave me 12 silkie eggs to incubate. Candles twice now at day 14. Nothing extraordinary except one egg apparently not fertile. Preparing for lock down in 4 days, was going to candle one more time. Granted I've only used this incubator, on guinea chicks and did super good. Wake up this morning to a very loud very mad very bigood Silky chick? Common sense says he won't make it as he is 6 days early, but the fact is he,now named Jor el. Shout out to Superman nerds, fully developed, black skinned like a silkie. What the heck? I'm racking my brain here. Now must note humidity has been an issue twice. It dropped painfully low twice and has been at the upper end of high, 56 degrees. Please tell me I'm dreaming? How in the world did this happen. For clarification I did candle at day one for bacteria so that blows my theory of an early bird. Again no pun. Advice always welcome as usual. Oh and good morning everyone
