Week! Is this a worm?!!

I just posted on the egg laying post because I had some pale yolks with dark spots ...now I just found this and I'm freeking out!

Is this a worm?!! And what on earth should I do about it?!!

I don't believe that is a worm, it looks a little bit like a slightly bloody chalaza. Could be wrong though

That was my first thought, but I'm not sure either.

Don't think that's a worm, either chalaza or perhaps a bit of meat spot (tissue from the oviduct). Beyond the bit of yuck factor, the egg is fine.

Meat spots are very common in farm raised eggs. I watch a lot of cooking shows with professional chefs on TV, and most use farm fresh eggs. I noticed a few meat spots when they crack eggs. I see them in my own eggs from time to time. I have also see some blood in one hen’s egg who had an issue with her oviduct. Here is some reading about meat spots:
