Week old chick half the size of the others?

Mims, I actually gasped because I was sure he was dead. :) This is the picture taken right after. Wilber wasn't to happy about the flash waking him up.

I have three chicks. The Rhode island red is waaaaay tinier than the two Welsummers who are the same age (two weeks now). Where can you find statistics about weight of chicks as they grow, so I can compare? The rir, Una, is 66g. The welsummers, Nugget and Gummi, are 130g and 96g respectively.

Tytyvyllus, I don't know where to find statistics but you got me curious so I weighed my birds. 99g, 87g, 72g, 68g, and Wilber came in at 28g. They are 3wks 5days old and all came from an Americana hen and Delaware Rooster.

I am in love with your chick. He would definitely be my daughter's (Mims) favorite. I got her 2 silkies, and I have to spa day them every night because of pasty butt. Out of 21 chicks, these 2 are the only ones who get it. When my hand comes in, they both flee in terror, while the other chicks are mystified as to why they're so afraid of me. :)

I also have a tiny americana, her name is colonel sandy. When she was about 3 days old I thought I was going to lose her, she would not eat, or drink, and all she wanted to do was sleep. I gave her a mixture of gatorade diluted with water, and gave to her with an eye dropper. Made scrambled eggs mixed with mash. Went to bed telling myself that I did all I could do, and that mother nature will run it's course. I was hoping when I got up that I would not have to bury her. (This is my first time raising chickens) I got up in the morning and she was running around eating, drinking and acting like nothing happened. She sweetest ones and loves cuddles. I wonder if she knows what I tried to do that night.
She is still the smallest of the 3. When she has had enough of the other's antics, she will get in a corner take a running start, puts her head down and rolls them over like bowling pins. It is so funny when I she her in action. She stands her ground with my delaware and wynadotte and the other americana. I would not be surprised if she ends up as the top bird. Small but tough.
