I have two week old chicks and both are feathering in very, very quickly. The rhode island red one I have is very furry and healthy looking. The white one, however, is feathering in on her wings very quickly, but I've noticed her chest is looking pretty bare. It's almost as if she got wet or something. There's no blood, no signs of irritation, and she's still a spunky little thing. Any ideas on what this could be? I can post pictures if needed.

Hi TLK. When my baby chicks get their craw full it bulges out and and spreads the feathers out more. It makes it look like there is balding going on ,but, its just full of good food. If they sit down in a wet spot it appears to be more bald.

I'm betting if you look real close, you'll see the faint outline of a large "S" on it's chest.

That's right. Get some kryptonite and see if it makes your chick fall over....
