I received a order of buff braham chicks last wednesday, and another order of dark braham chicks on friday. The wednesday chicks were happy and active, the friday chicks are spastic. A couple of the friday chicks peck at the feet, wing feathers and heads of all the others, they all are so spastic, running and slamming into the waterer, feeder, other chicks.
This evening when I got home and checks on the chicks one of the wednesday chicks was getting trampled. When I picked it up, one of its legs was drawn in tight. I can move the leg, there does not seem to be any broken bones. When I put the chick down, it hops and uses it's wings for balance and holding itself up. I moved the chick into another box with water and feed so at least it would not be trampled more and maybe could relax
Not sure what more to do... any suggestions
