Week Old Chick - Poop on Butt ?

Yeah two of mine that i hatched from eggs - not at the vent but underneath and i have to pick at it eaxch day to get it off of there - which is NOT helping in taming them. They eat fine - poo's are of good quality - Lord am i really typing this? lol. So is this natural ? I dont think it is pasty butt its just that stuff gets "stuck" Will this stop ?
