We got our first batch of chicks in the mail Monday a week ago. This past Sunday we found one off in a corner dead in the morning. Today one seemed very lethargic, then seemed almost gasping, and then died. All of our chicks were vaccinated for coccidosis and merek's. They are in with guinea keets. It is in the mid 80's outside up to 90's, so we have had to turn the heat lamp off and on to keep the chicks from clustering as far as possible away from it. It has been on at night when it is cooler. Anyone know why chicks that seemed fine one day might die the next?
