My hen hatched 6 babies a week ago. My friends chicken just died and she is wondering if she could have some of mine. I told her she couldn't take only one because that would be to stressful on the chick. I said MAYBE she could take two but it might be to stressful for the mama and the babies to be separated after a week of being together. Any advice???

As long as the mom is left with at least one chick, it can be done.

I agree with silkie....My frizzles hatched 13 between the t hens...and I found homes for 5 of them. Moms are doing ok. Dont really seem to notice. If the has at least one or two....everything should be ok. And tell your friend, im sorry for her loss.
