Week old Chicks with 4 week old Chick?

My silkies are 2 weeks old and look so tiny and vulnerable. Then I have 10---2 barred rock, 2 white rock, 2 red sex-links, 2 americaunas, 2 buff orpingtons---and they are 4 weeks old and look huge to me. How and when do I, can I, introduce the silkies to the older ones?

I too was wondering about at what age difference can one not add new chicks to a brooder.

My last batch in 2016, I took home 4 day old chicks one day and then 4 days or a week later, brought home 1 more day old chick and it worked out fine. I don't know that I knew to be concerned.

I have 4 chicks now, one is 3 days older than the others. I'm considering getting another chick if the feed stored gets the breed in, but I'm now concerned about if at some point, it'll be too much of an age difference, as you can't just brood one chick separately.
