Week old duckling with crippled leg

I was looking on Walmart's website and it looks like they sell it so I'll go check it it. I'd rather not have to wait for shipping. Are they both supposed to be tablets? And by "plain" niacin, it means not flush free and not time released, correct?

Actually, here's another picture. I was taking a closer look. The right joint is bigger the the left one, and the foot is twisted. It doesn't seem to be able to move that leg at all. When I hold him/her upside down, it pedals the left leg, but not the right. The leg lower leg below the joint physically cannot bend. Could a vitamin deficiency do this or was it injured?

Could be an infection also with swelling like that. Honestly instead of guessing if you can afford it see if you have a vet that will look at it, or do you have a veterinary school in your area? I'd still go ahead and give the niacin 100mgs to 1 gallon of water mixed real well then put into their waterer. Does the place that's swelled feel extra hot?

I could only find time released and flush free niacin and brewer's yeast flavored with garlic.

Sadly there is not a whole foods store near me. Ill have to go check out the local stores. If it does have a vitamin deficiency, how long will it take to see improvement?

Usually within a week of starting the B3 treatment sometimes even with in a few days. since your lil one has some swelling can you feel if it's very hot around the swelling? if so it maybe an infection then you'd want to treat with an antibiotic.

I checked him and it doesn't feel any different than the other leg, temperature wise. My guess is it was born like this considering how it looks and it's pretty mobile for it only being a week old.
