Tried posting this under emergencies earlier, but no luck. Week old Bourbon Red, blowing thick mucus bubbles out beak. Rinsed his mouth by dipping his beak in clear water - lots of junk came out.

He's been on vitamin/ACV water the week I've had him, seemed fine until today.

Any ideas would be welcome.

I had this happen to some of my chicks and I though it was because of the pine shavings that they were in. I thought they might be eating them or drinking water that had the shavings in it. The reason I thought this is because my cat had the same reaction when she drank water from the Christmas tree. Anyway, I took out the pine shavings, and gave them straw. They stopped with the bubbling and have been very healthy ever since. Do you think this could help you?

Could it be bedding getting stuck in it's throat? My ducklings were on pine shavings that were very small and they were getting them stuck in their throats and then they could not swallow and were getting the bubbly mucus around their bills. My ducklings would also be twitching/nodding their heads trying to get the bedding to go down their throats.
