Week old quail died, okay to feed to reptile?

so went in this morning to open the window for natural light and feed/water the babies... they are about a week and two days and one of the larger browns was just laying on its side dead.. have no idea how long ... sometime during the night? Would it be okay to feed as is to a large reptile? Or not advised? Or if so .. some sort of preparation of it?

Not advised. You donno what killed it so no idea if it could poison the reptile. I tried feeding chicks to three diff snakes, all boas. The red tail immediately turned up her nose as did the Caulker Caye but the amazon tree boa took it. Lizards are more opportunistic with faster metabolisms theyre just hungrier so i think you'd have better luck if ur reptile is a lizard vs a snake.

I guess just poor genetics??? They are in a brooder inside ...
And yes.. the reptile is a large tegu

I don't see why not.
I fed my big rat snake one of my quail that died and she was fine

As long as none of the other show any signs of illness, it should be fine. Probably it was a birth defect rather than anything contagious.
