We ordered more birds from our favorite hatchery, Cackle Hatchery, and ended up getting a trio of Toulouse geese, two pekin ducks, and ten heritage blue slate turkeys. This is our first time trying turkeys.

They are eight days old at this point, drinking and eating well. Taking long naps in a pile under their light. I just cleaned their 55 gallon tote that we use as a brooder, but this issue started a few hours before that. We had them on straw, now on pine shavings, with free access to water and Dumor chick starter. They've had some grit available, and they're nice and toasty under their light (not too toasty).

While every other chick is acting normally (some even "dust bathing" in the shavings) one is cheeping non-stop, running the outside perimeter of the brooder and kind of stomping his feet. He also isn't standing straight when he runs like the other chicks, kind of hunched over? When he does stop running he is in the darker end of the brooder and lays down and cheeps quietly/sleeps. These calm periods only last a minute or so and then its back to running. None of the other turkeys are bothering him, but he is plain and simple freaking out. The best I can guess is that he might be in pain?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I did check him out and their weren't any obvious issues, listened to his lungs no excess noise, checked his beak, checked his eyes, everything checked out. And we switched to pine after his issue started. He lived through the night (though I was sure he wouldn't) and his behavior is indistinguishable from that of the other chicks. Maybe he was blocked up? He did have a large good looking poop when I picked him up this afternoon.
