Hi, I just noticed that one of my chickens has some kind of inflammation around it’s a eye. The eye is watering. I flushed it out and gave it some medicated eyedrops. Anyone else have had this problem before? You name it , I have had it in my flock over the last two years.
I clean my coop and my run every day. It’s dry. Secure. Not crowded.
.. 3 hens
Let my chickens free range in our fenced yard, change the water daily, they have plenty of room I just don’t understand why these things keep happening to me.
Seriously thinking of giving up.

Sorry about your chicken. A swollen eye with bubbles sometimes can be a sign of MG or mycoplasma. Is there any evedience that she may have been pecked or stung around her eye? If not, I would try to get Tylosin or a similar antibiotic that treats MG from your vet or online to treat her in her water. Keep her separated in a crate or pen where she will be the only one to drink the treated water.

Here is some reading about MG which can be common in some backyard flocks and wild birds, and which may become symptomatic if stressed:

Let me just say this....last time we had an issue....took me forever to even find a vet to see my “exotic “ pet. $200 to walk in the door.
After 2 different vets, and $1,000.00 ...then I still lost my chicken....and they had NO clue. I won’t do it again.
not here in Boston. ...of we had a farming vet I’d have more confidence. . All these did was run blood test and guess.
so...no more for me.
~ hoping to find some kind soul here that can help me.
I think it’s mycroplasmia.

I think so too. She isn’t a meat bird and won’t be eaten, and she hasn’t laid eggs for months,...so I gave her oral Baytril. Small dose because I have to look up the correct dose again. She weighs 7 pounds.
i Think it’s too late to separate her.
