Hello, I have a cockerel that is about 17 weeks old and has been showing some odd signs. He has just started wheezing whenever I hold him or if he runs around for a bit. He also had his ears full of ear wax and the feathers around it covered in it which I used warm water to gently wipe off. Any ideas what is going on with this bird?? It is summer here so the wheezing could be from the heat but the other chickens seem to just be panting rather than wheezing.

There is one older bird that we have that is about 10 years old and always wheezes. Any suggestions that could help there? She has been like this for at least a year now and nothing seems to work but it doesn’t seem to bother her much. Maybe a hole in the trachea?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thankyou

The wheezing is the only symptom now? How long ago was the ear wax? Dud the wheezing only start after the ear wax?
